NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY RELAYS - ENTRIES ARE NOW CLOSED
The NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS (incorporating Masters’s Relays) are being held at CUMBERNAULD HOUSE, CUMBERNAULD G67 3JG on SATURDAY, 28th OCTOBER 2017 – first race 12 noon
Please note:- Club colours (Fife AC vest) must be worn.
The YOUNG ATHLETES teams must consist of: 1st lap: under 13; 2nd lap: under 15 or under 13; 3rd lap: under 17 or under 15
YOUNG ATHLETES AGE GROUPS
Under 13: born during 1/9/04 to 31/8/06
Under 15: born during 1/9/02 to 31/8/04
Under 17: born during 1/9/00 to 31/8/02
SENIOR/JUNIOR WOMEN and MEN: born before 1/9/00
MASTERS: from 40 for both men and women on race day. M50 and W50: from 50 on race day
RACE TIMETABLE
12 noon: Young Females - 3 x 2,500m
12.40pm: Young Males – 3 x 2,500m
1.20 pm: Senior/Junior Women - 4 x 4,000m; Masters Women and W50 - 3 x 4,000m
2.45 pm: Senior/Junior + Masters Men 4 x 4,000m; M50 – 3 x 4,000m
Declarations are at the Course. The Young Athletes’ declarations open at 10.00am. Women's and Men's declarations open at 11.15am.
Senior/Junior Women will run 4 Laps; Masters Women and W50+ will run 3 laps. Womens Teams with 4 athletes will be considered for the Senior/Junior Race only. Senior/Junior and Master Men will run 4 Laps; M50 will run 3 laps only. There will be Masters and V50 gold, silver and bronze medals for both men and women.
NOTE FOR PARKING: Parking will not be available at Cumbernauld High School. A Park and Ride system will operate from St Maurice's High School, North Road, Cumbernauld G68 9AG from 8.30am and will drop off athletes in the Theatre Car Park. Tent drop off will only be permitted in the Theatre Car Park - a drop off area only - car drivers will not be permitted to leave their vehicles to pitch tents. Drivers must only park in designated areas, any cars illegally parked will be reported to the police and removed.
TOILETS: Toilets will be available at the course.
SHOWERING and CHANGING FACILITIES: Permission has been given for athletes and spectators to use the TRYST SPORTS CENTRE (located at Cumbernauld town centre, a 5 minute drive from Cumbernauld House Park) up to 6pm, FREE of charge, where hot showers will be provided.
