FAC Mid Week Series 2014

In addition to the GrandPrix, which is exclusive to FAC members, we are pleased to announce the traditional MidWeek series, which is open to everyone. Very many thanks to Brian Smith and Dan Newman who will process the series points calculations and keep us updated. Results will be posted here.

The Midweek series consists of five FAC races: St Andrews 5k, Strathkinness-Blebo, Tarvit, Newburgh and Balmullo. Check the FAC website for individual race details. Each race will be followed by tea and cakes - as always, all contributions are very welcome. At the post-race teas there will also be individual race prizes for first male and first female, plus a few spot prizes for other finishers.

Series Prizes will be awarded to the following categories, both males & females: we hope to award the series prizes after the final race (at Balmullo).

1st, 2nd & 3rd overall
Plus highest points total in each of the following age groups: Junior (U20), V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70, V75 etc.

RULES
One series prize per competitor (whichever is the greater).
Runners must complete at least 4 races to complete the series.
Your final points total is the sum of your best 4 results.
The age category is determined by a runner's age on 16th April 2014 - the date of the first race of the series (St Andrews 5K).
The first female in each race gets 200 points, the second female 199, and so on. The same applies to males.
