Chariots childrens race, Sunday 2nd June

Unread post by Ben McLeod »

In case anybody was unclear or unaware, there is a kids (under 11) 1 mile race preceding the main event at 11am. We decided to scrap the 11-16 category this year but runners of that age are welcome to join the main event - on current form I'd expect a few to be in contention at the top of the field!

Entry is £2 on the day - Ally McAdam-Smith is very kindly administering this but I'm sure would appreciate offers of help and every child receives an ice cream, a medal and a voucher for a free meal at either the Grill or Glass House restaurants in the town.
Hoping for a great turnout - not sure there'll be any rain left in the sky by June!

Sue Bishop Forrester (whose son Joe carried the Olympic flame up the beach last June) has agreed to come and paint faces (priority given to children!) and with live music before and after it should all make for a fun family atmosphere.

Any questions, get in touch or catch me (pretty easy given my current fitness!) at Wetlands or St Andrews training.

Thanks Graham!

Never like to presume but had hoped you might be there or thereabouts!

Added incentive this year of a fudge doughnut!

See you at training!
