Calling all hillrunners,Fife needs you for The SHR Championship across the season-just needs you to do 4 out of the 6 races( 2 Short,2 Medium,2 Long).Even if you just do one race for us,it helps boost club points! Doesn't need to be same Fife runner for all 4 races, and best 4 race results to count-Senior Women,Over 40,Over 50,Over 60 categories.... We can help with car sharing, bumbag equipment, maps etc and often organise reccies in advance. After our women's fantastic hillrunning success at Devils Burdens, would be great to follow up with similar good showing in the SHR series.Heather Anderson will be defending her V40 title but also going for top placing in the senior women's category! She just needs some back up from senior women, and as always,we're keen to defend the V40 team title for Fife.... ( Only 3 to count for team points, but usually need at least 5 out on the course...)
PS The men have promised a better showing this year-Mark Harris looking to do well in O50 category -just needs back up! He will be chasing up the guys till Ian Hawkins can be back from injury/operations.
Cioch Mhor Hill Race - open for entries on SiEntries
Jan 28, 2020 ... nt_id=6536

The Alex Brett Memorial Cioch Mhor Hill Race will be held on 28th March 2020. The race is a 14km long "out and back" with approx. 660m of ascent. While much of the route follows a fixed line (which must be adhered to!) there is a significant descent / ascent where runners can choose their own trajectory. The course threads a trail from the bustling metropolis of Dingwall up and over farmland before crossing the Abhainn Sgitheach (Hawthorn River) and out into the wilds. Beinn Uais (Ben Wyvis - I've found a few translations - "Awesome Mountain" is a favourite), which dominates the horizon, looms large over proceedings providing the perfect backdrop.

Registration is at the Dingwall Leisure Centre from 10:00 to 11:15, and the tea / cake / banter / prizegiving is at the same location after the race. The Senior race starts at 12:00 sharp from just behind Tulloch Castle, and Juniors will start at 12:10 from the same place. The race start is a short walk up the hill from registration. The Junior race route is also an "out and back" with the turning point at the trig point on Cnoc a' Bhreacaich (Speckled Hill ? Answers on a postcard please). There will be a kit check at the start, please have everything with you...

Let me know if we've any chance of getting you to join us! ( Jocelyn 07942004487 or post here.)

That's really good news,Steve Dickson,as Mark Harris,Olivier Pennachio,Neil Mitchell and others will mean there is a chance of Fife Vets Men gaining points in the team category-would be a great start to the season!
