I am delighted to announce the appointment of Jennifer Kibble as the Club Together Officer (CTO) for Fife AC. This post is a partnership between the club, scottishathletics, and the Tayside & Fife Regional Sporting Partnership (supported by Fife Council). Jen, who lives in Ceres, hardly needs introduction to many, as she has been an FAC member herself for several years now, primarily as an endurance runner of distinction, and is now a key member of our very successful senior women’s team.
An early part of Jen’s work as CTO will see her visiting the full range of our training activities, meeting people and finding out what is going on: if you don’t know Jen already, do introduce yourself and say hi. Longer term, Jen will be focussing her work on junior recruitment initiatives, coaching provision and fund raising. It is a wide and exciting brief and will bring Jen into contact with the full range of our club’s membership and operations.
The CTO programme is a nationwide initiative designed to help athletics clubs develop according to their own priorities, in consultation with the other partners. 18 other clubs across Scotland have a CTO in post: Jen’s appointment is a vital part in FAC’s development plans and I am sure you will all want to give her a warm welcome.
