Sunday's race is a 6-mile trail race in the grounds of the Falkland Estate starting and finishing in the estate grounds along from the duck pond (roughly where you finished on Thursday night’s hill race).

Parking is available in the car park next to Falkland Community Hall or, to a lesser extent, in the Falkland Estate. We have been given permission by the Estate to utilise the overspill parking, which is beyond the start line, in a field on the right-hand side. Ignore the “no parking” sign on the gate, but only park in the obvious bays. Do not park in the long grass, which the farmer tends to utilise for hay. Above all, please park considerately.

On the completion of the race you should collect your commemorative mug from Margaret McLaren, who will be parked close to the finishing line. The mug has been designed by local artist, Lee O’Connor, of the Dundee Road Runners, whose efforts are greatly appreciated. Take time to have a detailed look at Lee’s design, the longer you look the more you will see.

Post-race refreshments and the prize giving will be held in Falkland Community Hall. Any contributions for the refreshments will be greatly appreciated.

In an effort to reduce wastage, would participants please use their mugs for water, juice, tea and coffee. Please ask all non-participants who may be accompanying you to bring their own drinking vessels.

Prizes will be presented to the first three finishers in the following male and female age categories as follows:- Overall, U20, Senior, O40, O50, O60, O70 and O80. All finishers are eligible in the overall category and their own age group. However, only one prize per finisher will be awarded, with the overall category taking precedence.

We would like to thank Pete Bracegirdle and Willie Law, and any other contributors, for their photographs throughout the week.

Finally, thanks go to Rebecca Reader and Dave Morton of Morton Running Company for their sponsorship of this year’s event.
