31st March. Scottish Road Relay Championships, Livingston.
Congrats to Innes Bracegirdle, Sandra Aitken and Margaret McLaren on winning the over 50 veterans gold medals.
Also great run by Bryce Aitken, John Thomson, Kenneth Anthony and John Kay to finish second in the over 50 men's championship.
Our women's team of Halina Rees, Amie McKimmie, Jennifer Kibble and Helen Sharpe placed 4th with Helen clocking a 34 minute 10km leg. Helen, travelled up from Bristol to support the team effort.
For the senior men's team....with two younger athletes dropping out at relatively short notice it was left to an over 60 year old and two over 65 year old (one with a cardiac condition) to ensure that Fife finished a team. The resp[onse this year has been extremely disappointing...and that's putting it mildly !
Results to come.
