Nightmare #6 RESULTS, Craighall Den, Ceres.

 :o: :g:

Chris Russell retained his Prince of Darkness title for the sixth consecutive year winning the sixth and final race in the Nightmare Series.
The 3.5 mile romp from Ceres car-park, followed by two laps of Craighall Den, saw Chris clock a winning 21 minutes 20 seconds chased home by Craig Love (Dundee Hawkhill).
Jane Dunlop (Dundee RR) placed 17th overall, third female on the night but with enough points in the bag to retain her overall female title - the first occasion a woman has retained her title since Jocelyn Scott in 2006. Would have been good to have seen some FAC females appear ???
The particpants enjoyed a lavish prize presentation along with stovies in the Ceres Inn. The series raised £200 for the Sensory Impairment charity.

Thanks to all the 111 Nightmarists who took part in the series over the last few months. Putting on the events was a pleasure as you were all so enthusiastic - and patient. And thanks to your endeavours we raised £260 for the Fife Sensory Impairment Centre in Kirkcaldy. That is superb.

Thanks to Graham Bennison for advertising all the events and posting all the results and setting the course at Ceres.
Thanks to Bob Thornton for providing the wee chrome trophies and for setting the course at Tayport.
Thanks to Andy Barker, Frank McLaren and Gary Barker for marshalling and timekeeping at the Blacker than Black Rock.
Thanks to John Mill for marshalling at the Ceres Series Finale.
Thanks to the Ceres Inn for hosting the prize giving for the series finale.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for putting on the nightmares again.its defo something to look forward to during the winter months. Thanks also to graham bennison, bob Thornton,John mill and the others who have helped out at various times. The hawks will defo be looking forward to it resuming again next year in whatever shape or form YOU choose. We much prefer throwing health and safety rules out the window and look forward to running in the dark, getting lost and dealing with the possibility of twisted limbs etc,etc,...it's much more interesting than running on straight,un-potholed roads anyway :h: :h: :h: cheers :m:
