Just returned home safe and sound from a recce of tonights Nightmare course. Only casualty is wet feet.

The road section for the opening and finishing section of the race (from Ceres car-park) is clear. The trail through Craighall den is clear but with puddles. As you climb up the den there is a carpet of wet snow. The path by the lime kiln is clear. The farm track is covered in wet snow but with wet vehicle tracks that are clear.

I deliberately ran around the course in trainers......thinking if I had trouble then possibilties for trouble. I was completely Ok apart from now having wet, cold tootsies.

Forecast is for snow flurries to ease through day with the biting winds of yesterday easing too. Sooooooooo come wrapped up with perhaps a change of clothes so you can enjoy the warmth of the Ceres Inn post-race.

Bit sad Chris has had no more offers of help.

All that lovely snow has thawed now so its a bit muddier but not so chilly on the extremities.
