It was really nice to see so many people turning out for the funeral, Frank was one of a kind and we will miss him very much.

Frank, what can you say about him, over the years we have known him the conclusions are a trusty, honest, funny, very good mate but not only that he was a loving husband to Davina, who was the best thing that ever happened to him and a loving dad to Scott and Selina.

Frank began working life with the forestry commission, working and planting Pitmedden North of his home town of Muchty, although the snobbish side of Frank told us that he was a Falkland lad. He always said the forestry wasn't really his cup of tea and his real ambition was to be a full time serving soldier, which he realised for a period of around 10 years serving with his beloved Scots Guards Regiment, which took him on tours of many foreign countries. One of the conflicts he endured was over the water in Northern Ireland on a peace keeping exercise where he was seriously injured with a bullet wound which entered his arm and shoulder and gave him gyp for the rest of his life.

In his late 50's early 60's bad health began to take a toll on him and he went from the strong healthy comedian we knew to a very vulnerable chap, but still keeping his sense of humour and always able to keep the conversation light hearted and fun.

Frank will be missed and fondly remembered by all of us in his athletic club, Fife AC, his loving family Davina, Scott and Selina and all who knew him.
