Strathearn Harriers are once again hosting the Comrie Hill Relays on the 10th September and have sent an invite to all Fife AC members encouraging participation. See below.

Hi Ian

Just a short message to invite you and your club to enter one or more teams for the 2017 Simon Wake Comrie Hills Relay on Sunday 10th September.

As in previous years, the race is a 42k relay with 2,110m of ascent, run in four stages for teams of five runners. It starts and finishes in Comrie village in Perthshire and follows a highly scenic route up and around the hills surrounding Glen Lednock. Legs 2 and 3 cover rough mountain terrain, while Legs 1 and 4, although challenging, are closer to trail races.

The proceeds from the race go to support research into pancreatic cancer, the disease from which our friend and club mate Simon died tragically in 2008.

It's a great day of racing, and for 2017 we can offer
• category and leg prizes (male and female)
• a barbecue after the race (food and drinks for runners included in the team entry fee)
• what we hope will again be a very enjoyable and competitive race.
Full race information and entry form can be found at http://www.strathearnharriers.org.uk/ra ... ills-relay

For any questions or more information about the race, please contact me at relay@strathearnharriers.org.uk

Regards

I can echo Kerry's comments about this being a great day out, a good race for hill and/or trail runners and a great social occasion also. Not sure I can attend this year due to other commitments but happy to help organise teams, entries etc if there is sufficient interest from club members.
