The Fife AC Festival of Trail Running 2017 incorporating the Scottish mid–Trail Championships will be held on 2nd Sept 2017 at Strathmiglo.

The Fife Athletic Club Festival of Trail Running welcomes all standards of athletes from beginners to Scottish Internationalists. The races are open to all and will take place in the beautiful Falkland Estate in Fife. For members of Scottish Athletics the events incorporate the Scottish Mid–Trail Championships and for all competitors there is an extensive prize list. This is your chance to meet and run with the champions. .
Declarations and Parking
Declarations and parking for all events will take place at the Strathmiglo Public Hall, California, Strathmiglo, Fife KY14 7PX. Due to parking restrictions please do not take cars into the Estate.

The Race Age Groups
• The Scottish Championships will be held within the U15, U17 and U20/Senior/Masters mixed gender races. The U11 and U13 races are open but non championship taster events. In all events the age is determined on the day of the race 2nd September 2017
• Under 11: aged 9 or 10 on 2nd September 2017
• Under 13: aged 11 or 12 on 2nd September 2017
• Under 15: aged 13 or 14 on 2nd September 2017
• Under 17: aged 15 or 16 on 2nd September 2017
The SAL Championships & Medals
• 1st 3 individuals both male and female for U15, U17, U20, Senior, O40, O50, O60, O70
• 1st 3 teams both male and female in U15 race (3 to count), U17 race (3 to count) and the combined U20/Senior/Masters race (4 to count)
• All eligible athletes (U20/Senior/Masters) may count in the Senior championship race as well as their own age category
The Open Prize List
• The 1st 3 individuals both male and female for U15, U17, U20, Senior, O40, O50, O60, O70
• 1st team both male and female in the U15 (3 to count), U17 (3 to count) and combined U20/Senior/Masters races (4 to count)
• All eligible athletes (U20/Senior/Masters) may count in the Senior race as well as their own age category

Declarations & Presentations
• Declarations for all event will take place in the Strathmiglo Public Hall
• Presentations for U11, U13, U15 and U17 races will take place at the finish area
• Presentations for all other races will take place in the Strathmiglo Public Hall asap after the last runner has finished
Refreshments
Soup, sandwiches, tea, coffee will be available at the Strathmiglo Public Hall. For those familiar with the Devil’s Burden Relay, Tour of Fife, Norman’s Law, Cupar 5, Giffordtown 5K, Chariots of Fire etc you will know what to expect. For others it is a treat in store.
Medical Advice
You should have a sufficient standard of fitness to compete and have no known medical condition that would adversely affect your ability to run or cause the race organiser concern. You are reminded not to run if you feel ill or have a cold or flu on race day as this could be potentially dangerous to your health. Do not take part if you have any respiratory illness or any recent medical condition that impacts on your ability to safely carry out strenuous exercise.

Post says...."You should have a sufficient standard of fitness to be able to compete on five consecutive days" I wasn't planning on taking that long for a 7 mile trail race !! :D
