A reminder that the Sandy Slither takes place on Thursday 22nd June. Registration will be in the car park at Lower Largo, starting at roughly 18:30. The fee for this year is the same as last: £4 for SAL members, £6 for non-members. One pound from each entry goes to a charity (Tushinde).
The main race starts at 19:30. There will also be a "priority" start at 19:20 for those expecting to take more than about 70minutes to get to Elie.
The emergency contact number for the race will be 07784 549722. There will also be a sweeper and marshalls at key points.
There will be at least one vehicle available to carry small bags of kit from the start to the finish at the Ship Inn in Elie.
Bill.

Re: Sandy Slither 22-June
Thank you all for coming and for making it such a fun event. There were 110 runners and , thanks to your generosity, £142 was raised for Tushinde Children's Trust who provide funds for improving the education of children from the Mathare slum in Nairobi, Kenya.( "www.tushinde.org.uk").
Particular thanks are due to our helpers;
timekeepers and results: Graham Kirby, Ron and Anne Morrison; setting out course, sweepers and general "dogsbodies"; Louise Burt and Bill Fairmaner ( who are the main drivers of the event.) marshalls; Moira Grainger, Dave Francis, Anne Whiteford (cake as well!); Ken Morris, John and Els McNally. Also thanks to Fife Council for keeping open the toilets at the start and to the Ship Inn for use of their "garden" outside the pub for prize giving.Finally thanks to Mrs Evans, Cellardyke for baking a magnificent coffee and walnut cake.
I hope to see you all again next year.
