British Hill Relays, 2016 - Fife AC come away with medals

The British Athletics Fell & Hill running relays took place last Saturday. The event was based at Luss this year and, despite bring further north than normal, attracted the usual good entry.

Fife AC entered a FV40 team. Despite being hit by injury and illness, the team were delighted to come away with silver medals in the FV40 category, finishing just two and half minutes and one place behind the winners from Helm Hill. The weather, low cloud and rain, made for tough conditions but a memorable day, not least for those on the Navigation Leg, where the maps (see below) are handed out at the start and the course is un-marked. Many went astray but Anita and Moira ploughed a sure path through the thick mist to be the fastest FV40 pair on the leg.
