NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY RELAYS - CLOSED
The NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY RELAYS (incorporating Masters Championships) are being held at CUMBERNAULD PARK, CUMBERNAULD G68 0DW on SATURDAY, 22nd OCTOBER 2016. There is car parking and changing at Cumbernauld High School. The park is a walk of approximately one mile from the school.
The YOUNG ATHLETES races consist of:
1st lap – Under 13; 2nd lap – Under 15 or Under 13; 3rd lap – Under 17 or Under 15
Under 13: born during 1/9/03 to 31/8/05
Under 15: born during 1/9/01 to 31/8/03
Under 17: born during 1/9/99 to 31/8/01
SENIOR/JUNIOR races are for those born before 1/9/99
NEW for 2016 - Senior/Junior Women will run 4 Laps - Masters and W50 will run 3 legs as in previous years.
The National Relays incorporate the Masters Championships (“Masters” are aged 40 and over for both Men and Women - age on the day) with medals for the first three teams for Masters Men and Women; and also medals for 1st 3 teams for W50 and M50 (aged 50 and over on the day) – 3 laps for both Men and Women (3 x 4,000 metres).
TIMETABLE:
12 noon - YOUNG FEMALES (3 x 2,500 metres)
12.40 pm - YOUNG MALES (3 x 2,500 metres)
1.20 pm - SENIOR/JUNIOR WOMEN (4 x 4,000 metres)
2.45 pm - SENIOR/JUNIOR MEN (4 x 4,000 metres)
If you would like to form part of a relay team, please post here by FRIDAY, 7 OCTOBER 2016 giving your race and age category.
