Two Breweries & SHR champs
I doubt whether there is a grander setting for the start of a hill race: early starters lining up in front of Traquair House for this year's Two Breweries race last Saturday. Congratulations are in order for the FV40+ team for winning (another) SHR championship.

Not the Devils Burdens 2021
Louise not clipping at the top of West Lomond last Saturday (23rd). IMG_0610.JPG At least we were spared a difficult decision about whether conditions were suitable - glorious overhead but no shortage of snow and ice underfoot - one consequence of which was a modest avalanche on West, just above the...

The attached spreadsheet details of category winners at the Devil's Burdens, starting from 2002, as derived from the results listed on the Fife AC website. There is also a little analysis. There are full results from before 2002, somewhere. Three things to bear in mind. 1. Teams are listed in their ...

Re: Sandy Slither - volunteers required
Thanks Katie. We've got a spot for you & your dog out on the course.
The nature of the race makes it hard for us to see/brief marshals beforehand. So we'll be posting a some written briefing notes here later this week.
Cheers
Bill & Lou.

Re: Arrochar Alps recces
In light of the weather forecast for the weekend, we're now doing the first half of the route on Saturday, not Sunday.
Given that it would be nice to get off the high ground before the rain arrives tomorrow, we aim to spend rather less time in the cafe pre-recce than we managed two weeks ago.
